Oh Canada ! The True North Strong and Free

Here comes our BLACK BALL Ferry !

Dad's gonna drive our car, right onto the boat!

All aboard the M.V. COHO,
Port Angeles to Victoria, B.C. !

First stop: The Lookout at Mount Doug--
for a great Overview of Victoria
(and crazy-face #1)

"Made it, Ma! Top of the world!"
(any Cagney fans?)

Dad and me are sittin' pretty

Dinner. It was Greek to me.
(and Crazy-face #2)

LUSH shopping in the "stinky-store"

Dad's lit up like the EMPRESS HOTEL
(that's no reflection on me, tho)

Someday we'll be able to afford HIGH TEA here--
not today however...

Night-time excitement here in Victoria
means horse-drawn carriages, and
lighted outlines of the Government Buildings

In the light of the next day, things look quite a bit different

The Parliament Buildings au naturale
(English and French are the official languages)

The British are coming in their double-decker buses !

Victoria's signature lampposts and flower baskets line the streets

The Inner Harbour

The view from our Hotel Balcony,
The Inn at Laurel Point--
we saw boats and seaplanes all day long

You can take a nice stroll along the water
(and crazy-face #3, for the Trifecta)

Victoria is the capital of B.C.
(even tho Vancouver is the biggest city)

Can you name the 3 Territories and 10 Provinces of Canada?
(answer can be found below)

I found a Dark Horse--

--and a Horse of a Different Colour !

My Mum and the Queen Mum--Victoria R.I.
The R.I. is for "Regina Imperatrix" -
Victoria
was the Empress of India in addition to Queen

The Empress is de-VINE !

Ok, so you think you know Canada, eh?
The ten provinces are Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. The three territories are Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon.
